Michelle Goldberg

Michelle Goldberg is an American journalist and author, born in 1975, currently serving as an op-ed columnist for The New York Times since 2017. She has previously worked as a senior correspondent for The American Prospect, and has contributed columns to Slate and The Daily Beast, among other publications. Goldberg's writing often focuses on politics, gender, religion, and the rise of authoritarianism, reflecting a left-leaning and feminist perspective.12

Goldberg is the author of several notable books, including:

• Kingdom Coming: The Rise of Christian Nationalism (2006)
• The Means of Reproduction: Sex, Power, and the Future of the World (2009)
• The Goddess Pose: The Audacious Life of Indra Devi, the Woman Who Helped Bring Yoga to the West (2015)

Her work has garnered several awards, including a Pulitzer Prize for public service in 2018 for reporting on workplace sexual harassment, and she has been recognized with various journalism accolades throughout her career.12

Goldberg grew up near Buffalo, New York, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, as well as a Master of Science in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley.12 She is also an on-air contributor for MSNBC and resides in Brooklyn with her family.2
