Michele Janezic is a professional with a profound passion for building relationships, storytelling, and brand development.
With a background in consulting for Marketing, Brand Development, and Social Media Content + Strategy, Michele has gained extensive experience in Buying and Wholesale Sales.
She spent five years running her own apparel company before transitioning to become the first Brand Director/Buyer for Unionmade Women, where she played a pivotal role in establishing a women's multi-label brick & mortar/e-commerce store.
During her tenure at Unionmade Women, Michele planned, sourced, and merchandised products from over 90 brands across various categories such as RTW, footwear, accessories, apothecary, and home, while fostering strong relationships with these brands.
After relocating to New York in 2015, Michele took on the role of North America Brand Manager for Samuji, where she spearheaded the launch of the brand's first US-based store in New York.
Subsequently, she served as the Head of Women's Sales at Williamson Showroom, where she managed multiple advanced contemporary lines and collaborated with buyers from major and specialty stores in the US and abroad.
Michele's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Saint Mary's College of California, along with studies in Design and Business at Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center.
Throughout her career, Michele has held various positions at organizations such as Umber & Ochre, Marimekko, Save Khaki United, Williamson PR & Showroom, and Melissa Joy Manning, INC, where she honed her skills in brand direction, marketing, sales, and retail management.
As the former Owner/Designer of JANEZIC and Brand Director at UNIONMADE WOMEN, Michele has demonstrated a keen eye for fashion and a talent for curating collections that resonate with consumers.
