Vice President at Xerox

A global leader in print and digital document products and services, Xerox (NYSE: XRX) provides industry-leading technologies, expertise, and innovation across 160 countries to generate $7.022B in annual revenue.

•	Lead global Government Affairs; Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHS&S); Philanthropy; Compliance; and Export Control. Direct the Xerox Political Action Committee and serve as the primary liaison with policy-related trade associations, foreign and national governments, and all elected government officials. Manage a team of 5 direct reports, 35 indirect reports, 15 external consultants, and an annual budget.
•	Established and currently lead Xerox’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) council, which has earned numerous industry awards and recognitions. Ensure enterprise-wide alignment to a range of market and customer requirements and maintain responsibility for preparing the annual CSR report and other ESG reporting.
•	Secured more than $65M in federal appropriations during FY 2022 that supported critical Xerox projects, including product development in high potential 3D metal printing and cleantech opportunities. 
•	Established and implemented the Xerox corporate Compliance program.
•	Planned and led Xerox’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic globally, encompassing safety protocols, vaccination policy, and return to office planning to minimize impact in unprecedented business conditions.

Xerox

Vice President, Global Government Affairs, Sustainability, Citizenship & Compliance 

•	Led the Government Affairs department for all Xerox operations globally, including business processing and technology solutions. Directed the Political Action Committee (PAC) and served as primary representative to all elected officials. Managed six direct reports, a team of 40+ political consultants, and an annual budget.
•	Served as primary Private Sector Staff Director for President Obama’s Export Council (PEC), tasked with identifying opportunities and shaping policies to increase US exports. Managed three historic PEC trade missions to Poland, Turkey, and Cuba. Coordinated multiple meetings with the President of the United States, 12 leading CEOs, and other high-ranking government officials in the US and foreign countries. 
•	Repeatedly secured millions of dollars in economic incentives for various Xerox facilities and operations.
•	Following Xerox’s $6.4B acquisition of Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) in 2010, led the successful integration effort to consolidate and standardize two distinctly different government affairs departments. 
•	Provide oversight for all high-profile Xerox CEO engagements in public policy-related trade associations. Coordinated corporate philanthropic activities and managed more than $14M in charitable contributions.
•	Prepared weekly and monthly communications on key legislative and regulatory issues for executive leadership. Delivered presentations to the Xerox Board of Directors on political and Foundation developments.

Vice President, Global Government Affairs & Philanthropy 

•	Led all global Government Affairs activities and the Xerox Political Action Committee. Served as the Staff and Policy Director to the CEO, PAC and Lobbying Compliance Manager, and leader of the Committee on Corporate Governance. Managed a team of two direct reports, five consultants, and an annual budget.
•	Headed a task force that successfully addressed key CEO concerns in the Dodd-Frank Act, secured a non-binding advisory vote on say-on-pay, and provided extensive input for the ﬁnal version of the bill.
•	Secured the enactment of an amendment to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) that enabled the distribution of stock options to employees at all levels. Played a central role in enacting the Pension Protection Act of 2006 (PPA) to ensure adequate funding of employee-sponsored pension plans. 
•	Served as lead lobbyist for all human resource and public procurement-related issues, including health care, employee beneﬁts, workforce development, government printing, and government contracts.
•	Planned and executed Xerox’s strategy for compliance with a range of European Union (EU) environmental regulations and directives, including RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment), and REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals).
•	Collaborated in creating a new Public Sector Sales Operations function and the Competency Center for Public Sector Sales, Contract Support, and Compliance.
