Michael Yulkin
Michael Yulkin is an accomplished expert in the field of climate change, carbon trade, and GHG inventory and management with over 20 publications in Russian and international media. He actively participated in the development of the Russian National Strategy Study on climate change and GHG emissions reduction and served as a member of the Kyoto protocol working group at the Environmental Committee of the Russian State Duma. Yulkin is the leader of the Climate Change Working Group at the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) and has supervised the preparation of more than 20 carbon projects in Russia and worldwide. He specializes in GHG emission inventory and management in pulp-and-paper industry, energy, and other sectors. Yulkin holds a Project Analysis degree from the World Bank Institute, an MSc in Economic Cybernatics from Lomonosov Moscow State University, and he is the Founder and CEO of CarbonLab LLC. Previously, he served as the Director General (CEO) of CCGS LLC, Director General at Environmental Investment Center (EIC), Director of JI and Director of Policy and Strategy (Russia) at Camco International, and Co-owner and CEO at MCF Finance and Consulting Co. Ltd.
