Michael Wright

Michael Wright is a seasoned professional known for his significant contributions to the field of Electronic Document Delivery, eBilling, and eMarketing. He founded Striata in March 1999, specializing in Email Bill Presentation and Payment services. In 2002, the company was acquired by Doxim.

Prior to launching Striata, Michael held the position of managing director at VWV Interactive. He kickstarted his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he excelled and rose to the role of principal manager responsible for Internet Strategy & Services and Business Information Services.

Michael is a Chartered Accountant and actively participates in industry organizations. He serves on the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants' information technology steering committee and is a founding member of the Audit Bureau of Internet Standards (ABIS). Additionally, he is the founder of the South African Chapter of First Tuesday, a renowned Thought Leadership Network.

Recognized for his outstanding achievements, Michael was awarded the title of 'Direct Marketer of the Year' in 2002 and was a finalist in the 'IT Personality of the Year' awards. He brings a wealth of expertise in eBilling, EBPP, and email marketing, demonstrating strategic acumen as a CEO and visionary leader driving business growth and expansion.

Michael's educational background includes studying Accounting at the University Of The Witwatersrand. Currently, he holds the position of SVP & Managing Director at Striata.
