Michael White

Michael White is a highly experienced professional with 30 years of diverse roles in system specialist, solution architect, developer, integrator, application support, senior manager, and process improvement in Health Service Logistics.

With over 33 years of expertise, Michael is recognized as an OpenVMS expert.

His personal interests include Health and Fitness sports such as Running, Triathlon, and endurance events, focusing on 100-mile Ultra running with aspirations to participate in the UTMB.

He is also passionate about Archery, holding distinctions in Recurve and Longbow and being a Level 2 coach.

Michael has had significant involvement in the Scout Association, serving in various leadership roles like Leader, GSL, ADC Scouts, and Group Chairman.

In terms of education, he holds a Higher National Diploma in Computer Studies with 2 distinctions from Mid-Kent College of Higher and Further Education.

Additionally, he completed A-Levels in Maths, Engineering Design, and Art from Oakwood Park Technical College.

Throughout his career, Michael has held key positions at organizations like NHS Supply Chain, where he served as Application Support Manager ERP Systems, Solutions Architect, and led the Red Prairie WMS Implementation Team.

He has also worked as a Senior Developer in WMS roles at both NHS Supply Chain and NHS Logistics, and as a Resus Application Analyst in national and regional capacities within the NHS.

Prior to his roles within the NHS, Michael White contributed to the South East Thames Regional Health Authority as a Software Manager and gained experience as a Software Engineer and Project Leader at GEC Avionics.
