Michael Watts

Michael Watts is the Chair of Osler’s Health Industry Group, serving as the general counsel for numerous public and private health industry clients. With a focus on governance, regulatory guidance, e-health agreements, outsourcing, and healthcare restructuring, Michael oversees a broad range of legal matters. His expertise also extends to facilitating the purchase and sale of regulated healthcare businesses, programs, and assets. Furthermore, he is well-versed in offering intricate regulatory opinions to ensure compliance with federal and provincial health statutes. Michael's educational background includes a Juris Doctor from The University of British Columbia, a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Bishop's University, and additional training in negotiation from Harvard University and the ICD.D. program at Rotman School of Management. Previously, he held the positions of Partner and Chair of the Health Industry Group at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP.
