Michael Roop

Michael von Roop is an accomplished business leader with a wealth of experience in international business and partnerships. He has held leadership roles in cross-border manufacturing, infrastructure, water and waste companies, and has reinvented the role of CFO to become forward-looking, expanded, and scalable. Michael has also founded and invested in multiple investment ventures in emerging markets, with a focus on value-added manufacturing, KPIs, and developing and implementing strategies to improve them.

Michael has studied at numerous prestigious institutions including the Royal Naval War Academy and Stockholm University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance. He also completed the Private Equity Master Program at the London Business School and earned his Executive MBA from both the London Business School and Columbia University.

Throughout his career, Michael has held senior positions at a variety of companies, including Varangian Equity Partner AB, ECWP, and CARICOM Renewable Energy and Biomass Company. He has also been a member of the Executive Board at NH Capital and a managing partner at IMR Nordic Industries. In addition, Michael has worked as a Senior Advisor on Restructuring and Infrastructure Investments at EBRD, Grontmij, Sweco, and the IFC.
