As Executive Creative Director at Hearst Newspapers, my role is largely defined to oversee Audience Research, UX, Visual Design, Marketing and Ad Product Design. This includes those roles across the 34 newspapers currently within the Hearst NP ecosystem including but not limited to: The San Francisco Chronicle, Houston Chronicle, and San Antonio Express. Current initiatives include: - Define an Audience Research and Strategy Plan of Action- Develop a Flexible UX Product Framework for all Core Products- Instill a Design Strategy and Vision Across all Publications- Finesse a cohesive brand strategy and voice for each market publication- Ensure that only the highest quality creative is approved for go-live- Create a creative culture that embraces change and challenge, making work a place of fun, yet insightful exploration and results-oriented.

Executive Creative Director, Newspapers

Focused on the sole objective of creating equally quality experiences for our brands as with our own content, the Ad Innovation and Experience team is focused on one thing: the user. The Creative Director is responsible for:- discovery of new ad products- superior design and development - scale-focused products that go to market along with packaged materials- setting an industry-leading methodology to the development and distribution of new ad products.

Creative Director, Ad Innovation and Marketing

As Creative Director of the New York Times Magazine Ad Dept, I worked alongside the Publisher and Newsroom team to ensure that we properly support all of their marketing needs. This also includes developing original digital and print ad materials in order to secure never-been-done-before treatments within the marketplace.

Creative Director, Sunday Magazine, Advertising

Manage a team that conceives integrated programs for clients, including creative ideation, visualization and mock-up creation.- Articulate relevant RFP responses quickly and efficiently.- Serve as a resource for information about products across all platforms: digital, print, mobile, events.- Create dynamic go-to-market materials.- Partner with Sales in presenting winning proposals and pitches- Serve as a resource for category knowledge and marketplace trends.- Guide team to work with any relevant areas of the organization (sales account managers, research, product marketing & advertising platform innovation, advertising operations, circulation, production, etc.) in the development of programs that are strategically grounded in the needs of the client.- Execute elements of sold programs as necessary.- Work with team and account manager to monitor the successful execution of any sold programs, trouble-shooting issues, and the post-mortem evaluation of the effectiveness of the program.- Manage promotional aspects of assigned categories when relevant.

- As the Lead Team Member I was required to help provide direction on all active projects. - Develop new and innovative design concepts and renders for both clients and in-house use.- Utilize the Adobe Suite to creative interactive components, that often intitalize development to a higher degree with the help of our Flash Engineers.- Work with industry leaders to build innovative and engaging advertising portfolios to be displayed across various placement sizes and sources. - Coordinate amongst development and creative team to ensure that both the vision and product scope stays true to the original client request.- Provide direction to the creative team in order to advance the development and artistic traits of our ads.

Web Associate

- Completed the Phase II migration, which included migrating, designing and launching 40 individualUniversity department websites that worked within the newly purchased CMS, Ektron.- Worked within Hobsons Enrollment Management system to design and send electronic mailings(with custom filters) to current and prospective students.- Utilized CSS and Visual Basic to design the entire Virtual Tour for the University’s use and to bettermatch the new redesign.

Brought on to revamp and restore presence around the University Campus, my position seeks to do the following:- Create and maintain a internal network of wiki's, email, calendaring systems, and files- Revamp and recreate their online presence.- Increase overall web traffic- Discover ways of integrating easy news outlets and inlets to the Foghorn Online- Work with the entire team to ensure proper levels of training and documentation.

Working primarily with the administration, I assist in the department with any web work they have. Some past projects include:- Developing and designing a quarterly newsletter- Creating an iTunes U channel to host podcasts which I record for them at different events. - Building an internal wiki of assets
