Michael Fay

Michael T. Fay is an owner advocate with 38 years of experience in the real estate industry, specializing in capital markets, REO and note sales, and strategy for large corporate accounts.

With a robust network and in-depth market knowledge, Michael has been involved in over $14 Billion in real estate transactions over his career.

He currently serves as the Chairman of the U.S. Capital Markets Group Executive Committee and Managing Director at Avison Young's Miami office, also holding the position of Global Director for the Asset Resolution Team Affinity Group.

Michael's client portfolio includes institutional investors, banks, hedge funds, REITs, automotive dealerships, and debt restructuring firms, providing them with expert guidance on REO sales and note transactions.

Apart from his extensive real estate expertise, Michael has a strong foundation in banking, having been a founder and director of a community bank, and has been involved in the sale of bank assets dating back to the Resolution Trust days.

Furthermore, Michael has experience working with government agencies like the FDIC and U.S. Marshals Service, handling the sale and disposition of assets, including federal court-related transactions.

He holds educational background from Westminster Christian, Washington International Diplomatic Academy, and LaGrange College in Executive Diplomacy and Business.

His professional affiliations include the role of Chairman at Avison Young, involvement in the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem Knights of Malta, and past leadership positions at Colliers International South Florida.
