Michael Szmyga

Michael Szmyga is a highly accomplished professional with a strong background in Biomedical Sciences and Medical & Scientific Affairs.

He holds a BA in Biochemistry and Special Honors Curriculum from Hunter College and pursued both MS and PhD degrees in Biomedical Sciences at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

His research contributions are evident through his publications, including studies on nucleolar channel systems' formation in the endometrium.

Throughout his academic journey, Michael has been actively involved in various roles, such as being a Graduate Student Council Co-Chair, a co-founder of the Einstein Peer Mentor Network, and a Graduate Student Senator at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

He has also held positions of responsibility within the academic community, such as Associate in Acquisitions and media relations at the Einstein Journal of Biology and Medicine, and Moderator and Administrator of the Graduate Student Council E-mail Listserv.

In his professional career, Michael has excelled in roles at esteemed organizations like HealthLogiX, where he served as Vice President of Medical & Scientific Affairs and previously as Senior Medical Director.

His prior experiences include working as Medical Director at IntraMed Educational Group, tutoring in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physics at the Physical Sciences Learning Center, and conducting research as an Undergraduate Researcher at Hunter College.
