Michael Smith, an accomplished and experienced geophysicist, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Toronto's renowned Rotman School of Management, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysics and Seismology from the University of Calgary. Instead of pursuing a career in pure science, Michael has focused his expertise and skills, accumulated over a decade of professional experience, on the intersection of Geophysics and technology, working on microseismic solutions and borehole geophysics for companies such as Trican GeoTomo Microseismic Limited, Schlumberger, and ESG Solutions. He has also provided his services as a Geophysicist I.T. for companies like ConocoPhillips and Apache Corporation.Michael's accomplishments in the field of geophysics have led him to establish his own venture, Sowilo DS, where he serves as a founder. His list of affiliations and experience in various companies within the industry has helped him acquire a unique set of skills and knowledge over the years, and he continues to be a valued member of the geophysics community.
