Michael Sherar

Michael Sherar is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background in the fields of Medical Biophysics, Oncology, and Health Administration.

He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the University of Oxford.

Throughout his career, Michael has held various leadership positions, including President and Chief Executive Officer at Public Health Ontario, President at Royal City Athletics Club, and Affiliate Scientist at University Health Network.

He has also served as President & CEO at Cancer Care Ontario, where he played a pivotal role in shaping regional health programs and strategies.

Michael has a strong academic background and has been a Professor in Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto and Oncology at the University of Western Ontario.

His extensive experience includes roles such as Vice-President at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) and Regional Vice President in London at Cancer Care Ontario.

Michael Sherar's contributions extend to board memberships, having served on the Board of Directors at Athletics Canada and having been involved in governance at Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation.
