Michael Shaughnessy

Michael Shaughnessy is the Chief Executive Officer of The Mithril Company. He has a robust background in the plastics industry, having previously served as co-chairman and president of ColorMatrix, a company he co-founded in 1985. Under his leadership, ColorMatrix specialized in liquid colorant dispersions for the thermoplastics sector and expanded into the global packaging industry through collaborations, notably with The Coca-Cola Company. He sold ColorMatrix in 2006 and remained involved until its final sale in 2011.1

In addition to his role at The Mithril Company, Shaughnessy is active in private equity, serving on the advisory boards of several funds and participating as an investor. His community involvement includes board positions with various nonprofit organizations, such as The Catholic Community Foundation and Notre Dame College.12
