Michael Sevi

Michael Sevi is the Group General Counsel at Ascot Group, a global specialty insurance and reinsurance company. He joined Ascot in June 2024, reporting directly to the Group Chief Executive Officer, Jonathan Zaffino.12

In that role, he managed a legal and compliance team across multiple countries and was involved in complex litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance matters.13

Earlier in his career, Sevi held the position of Deputy Chief Compliance Officer at Marsh McLennan and served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Florida Governor Rick Scott, focusing on insurance and financial regulation policy.14 His leadership at Ascot includes overseeing legal, compliance, and corporate secretarial functions as the company continues to expand its services in the insurance market.12
