Michael Seibel
Michael Seibel is a seasoned Silicon Valley entrepreneur and venture capitalist who has made a name for himself in the tech industry. He is currently a Managing Director and Group Partner at Y Combinator, a top startup accelerator program that has nurtured successful startups like Airbnb, Dropbox, and Reddit. With over a decade of experience in the tech industry, Seibel has a wealth of knowledge and valuable connections that he leverages to help startups succeed.
Before joining Y Combinator, Seibel founded two notable companies, Justin.tv and Socialcam, both of which were acquired for impressive amounts. Justin.tv, a live video streaming platform, was sold to Amazon for a staggering $970 million, and Socialcam, a mobile app for sharing videos, sold to Autodesk for $60 million. In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Seibel also has some political experience, having worked as a finance director for a US Senate campaign.
