    Michael Schumann is the Chairman of the Board of the German Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (BWA), with a rich background in political consulting, public affairs, and public relations.

    He studied Philosophy, German Literature, and American Studies at the University of Bonn and the State University of New York at Binghamton before embarking on a successful career in various agencies, business, and media associations.

    He began his career as a consultant at Nordis Heidelbach Sawatzki (NHS) and later became the managing director and shareholder at ZSP, where he sold the company to DauthKaun Communications Group after seven years.

    In 2006, he founded Second Interest AG, a digital media think tank focusing on 3D virtual worlds, augmented reality, and the industrial internet, where he built a leading business network in Europe.

    Michael's international experience includes assisting German corporations in entering the Chinese market, advising Chinese institutions, and promoting Sino-German friendship through various initiatives.

    In 2019, he co-founded the 'China-Bridge' in Berlin with Dr. Hans-Peter Friedrich, aiming to strengthen Sino-German relations and enhance China expertise in Germany.

    Throughout his career, Michael held executive roles in organizations such as the Berlin Forum for Media, Politics and Economy (MPW), German Media Association (DJV), X - Media - Lab, and Lions Club Berlin-Brandenburg.
