Michael Salk

Michael Salk is a skilled proposal writer and editor with a successful track record of raising over $32M for public health, international development, and sustainability programs in various countries including the United States, Tanzania, Kenya, and Botswana, primarily focusing on HIV and TB initiatives.
He specializes in writing, editing, and conducting scientific reviews for several international clients, contributing to the growth of new business initiatives and programs in Tanzania and Kenya for CIHEB (Center for International Health, Education, and Biosecurity).
Michael Salk holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Reed College, where he was a member of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa society. He also pursued further studies and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Cognitive and Evolutionary Anthropology from the University of Oxford.
Currently, Michael serves as the Assistant Director of Program Development at the Jonas Salk Legacy Foundation, an organization dedicated to furthering the legacy of his renowned relative, Dr. Jonas Salk, who developed the first successful polio vaccine.
In addition to his professional roles, Michael is actively involved in the non-profit sector and contributes his expertise as a board member of the Jonas Salk Legacy Foundation.
