American author and journalist
Michael Pollan is an influential American journalist, author, and professor known for his work at the intersection of food, agriculture, and the environment. He serves as the Knight Professor of Science and Environmental Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley, where he has been a faculty member since 2003. Pollan is also the director of the Knight Program in Science and Environmental Journalism and co-founded the UC Berkeley Center for the Science of Psychedelics in 2020, which focuses on research into psychedelics and their effects on cognition and perception.123
