His educational background includes a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Copenhagen, participation in seminars on leadership and project management from prestigious institutions like MS International Leader Training Seminar and Stanford University, as well as certificates in Carbon Finance and Strategies for Sustainability Management from University of Toronto and Harvard University respectively.
Michael has been actively involved in various significant roles within organizations; he is the co-founder and director of CPH Village. Previously, he served as Director at Nordic Folkecenter for Renewable Energy, UN Climate Conference Coordinator at Energy Crossroads, President at Energy Crossroads Denmark, Head of Delegation at China-Europe Forum, and held positions at Climate Office, University of Copenhagen.
His experience as a Co-founder & Vice President at Energy Crossroads Denmark has provided him with a rich background in sustainability, renewable energy, climate change initiatives, and global leadership, enabling him to drive tangible change in these crucial areas.
