Michael Motz

Michael Motz is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Max Planck Society, along with degrees in Executive Education and Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen, Chemistry from the University of Regensburg, and Corporate Finance from Harvard Business School.

Michael has held prominent roles in various organizations, including serving as the Chief Business Officer (CBO) at NETRIS Pharma, Head of Business Development at Zealand Pharma A/S and MAB Discovery, and as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Algobate AG, a Develco Group company.

His professional journey has also seen him in key positions at Roche, SANDOZ International GmbH, Altana Pharma, and LION bioscience, where he contributed significantly in roles such as Director of Business Development, Strategic Planning Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Global Licensing Manager, and Research Scientist.

Currently, Michael Motz is utilizing his expertise as an Entrepreneur in Residence at BB Pureos Bioventures, a testament to his strategic acumen and leadership in the life sciences sector.
