Teaching introduction to Branding and Design.

We create well researched and thought-out marketing campaigns for my clients. The designs that follow are based on a solid foundation of design and marketing principles. I employ the latest design trends and marketing techniques to help my clients sell their products in an increasingly competitive marketplace. 

The communication of a clients message can take many forms in both print and web. From complete branding, logo, stationary packages and e-mail signatures to vehicle wraps, website design, posters, banners, tradeshow booths and ad layouts for magazines and web banners.

One of my most rewarding areas is brand consultation. During these two or three day events I help clients research their unique place within the marketplace. Through this process we create the company direction in voice, placement and brand. This leads to all brand elements and a plan for the company to move forward and gain more market share.

I was engaged by the publisher to create a brand new magazine not seen before in the Wine Enthusiast industry, a Wine Touring magazine for the Okanagan. 

I researched and developed the complete look and feel for the magazine including tone, fonts, colour palette, article layouts and ad templates. I designed the cover, table of contents, all of the magazine articles and special insert pieces for each issue. I also developed and designed all of the marketing materials including the media/press kit and advertising. 

It was a wonderful opportunity to create something completely new from scratch. To invent a voice for this beautiful new product. The magazine was very well received and continues to be produced using the templates and brand that I established. Next time you're out and about pick one up!

With this tight-knit, responsive team I gained experience designing for a wide variety of clients for both print and web. From small local restaurants to large international corporations. I designed almost every communication vehicle imaginable from logos to business cards, vehicle wraps, packaging, web banners, e-mail communication, posters, brochures, annual reports, flyers, labels, tradeshow booths, signage, real estate development sales centre, stationery, retractable banners, hats, t-shirts, billboards and skins for social media sites. 

Here I was also part of the Business Development team. I sourced prospects and initiated first contact through to initial meetings and subsequent design. I created marketing campaigns to support the business development initiative and implemented several new marketing programs. 

I was also one of the pre-press quality assurance team. All final artwork had to pass my system of checks to ensure file integrity.
