Earlier in his career, he held the position of Deputy Director in the Office of Policy and Management at the City of Seattle, where he oversaw critical municipal functions including the management of the city's electricity, water, waste, and drainage utilities as well as the transportation department. His leadership was instrumental in spearheading the development efforts in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood, culminating in the establishment of over $250 million in public infrastructure through strategic public-private partnerships.

He holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International Peace Studies from the prestigious University of Notre Dame, equipping him with a unique perspective on global issues affecting our planet.
