Michael Laventure

Michael Laventure is an accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in technical program management, product management, cybersecurity, network security, research, and business analysis.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in International Studies and International Economics with a focus on Japanese from the University of Richmond. Additionally, he studied International Studies at the University of Melbourne and Japanese at the Four Seasons Language School.

Michael currently serves as the Senior Technical Program Manager for Detection & Response at Netflix, where he leads strategic initiatives related to cybersecurity. Prior to his current role, he held various positions at FireEye, Inc., including Product Manager for Services, Senior Consultant for Managed Defense, and Service Transition Manager.

Before his tenure at FireEye, Michael gained valuable experience as a Network Security Engineer and Security Analyst at General Dynamics Information Technology. He also honed his research and analysis skills through roles such as Research Intern at the Digital Scholarship Lab and Business Analyst at the Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Michael has showcased his leadership and organizational skills as a Resident Assistant at Richmond College and by managing Athletic Marketing and Promotions at the same institution.
