Michael Kuhlmann

Michael Kuhlmann is a Vancouver-based 'serial entrepreneur' with a proven track record of establishing successful ventures. His entrepreneurial vision dates back to university days when he founded his first venture. After gaining first-hand start-up experience at an incubator in Boston, Michael launched mobitus communications consulting upon his return to Vancouver. His area of expertise extends to technology strategy, particularly in the digital media, digital payment, wireless communications and VoIP verticals. Over the years, Michael has worked with strategic partners such as Sony, Intel, T-Systems and Boingo, to name a few. Michael was crucial in initiating and leading the mobitus VoIP division, which went on to become one of the pioneering mobility-focused VoIP operations. As a co-founder of FatPort, which became Canada's largest independent Wi-Fi hotspot operator, Michael was involved in all facets of the company, including strategic planning, sales, finances, and operations. Michael's commitment to entrepreneurship is evidenced through his various co-founder and C-level positions in a range of enterprises.
