Michael Karnjanaprakorn is a prominent entrepreneur and angel investor with a passion for startups, crypto, and happiness research. He is known for co-founding and leading Skillshare, a popular online learning platform, and for his current venture, Otis, a fractional ownership platform for art and collectibles. Michael is also invested in the crypto and web3 space through his venture fund, Turing Capital.
With a Master of Science in Advertising from VCU Brandcenter and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Virginia, Michael has held various creative leadership roles across different industries. He was formerly the Chief Creative Director at COMMONWEALTH, the Global Creative Director at Mattel for Girls Brands, and the VP, Head of Design at Cranium. Michael also has experience in film direction, serving as the Film Director at Engine Room Hollywood.
Away from work, Michael's passions revolve around his family, golf, burgers, and watching UFC fights. He currently resides in North Carolina but still considers New York City his home and plans to retire in Hawaii.
