Michael Hyun
Vice President - Procurement and Deputy General Counsel at PSEG
Michael Hyun is currently serving as the Vice President - Procurement and Deputy General Counsel at PSEG (Public Service Enterprise Group), a position he has held since February 2022. In this role, he is responsible for leading a department of over 70 professionals to develop and execute PSEG's procurement strategy, managing an annual spend of nearly $5 billion. Additionally, he oversees the corporate and commercial counsel group, handling corporate governance, contracts, securities, mergers and acquisitions, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters. He has also acted as lead transaction counsel for significant initiatives such as the Ocean Wind investment and strategic alternatives involving the sale of PSEG Fossil and PSEG Solar Source.1
Prior to his current role, Hyun served in various capacities at PSEG including Deputy General Counsel & Corporate Secretary from January 2017 to March 2022, where he managed corporate governance and SEC disclosure matters. His earlier experience includes working as a Corporate Associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions and securities law.1
Hyun holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Columbia Law School and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Seoul National University.1
