Michael Hickcox

Michael Hickcox is the Founder and CEO of Expedition Search, a technology executive search firm with operations in North America and Europe. With a focus on software, Internet, media, mobile, systems, and services industries, Expedition Search caters to businesses worldwide. Michael's entrepreneurial journey began after gaining over a decade of experience in executive search at Heidrick & Struggles in the Bay Area and Erevena in London. Prior to this, he held positions at Yahoo! and played a pivotal role in the strategy team at McDonald's, contributing to the successful launch of the Redbox business, now under Coinstar's ownership. His career kick-started in management consulting and a high-tech firm in the UK. Besides his professional endeavors, Michael has actively engaged in public service, contributing to a new national space policy during his MBA internship at the White House and serving on the Medical Research Policy Group of a US Presidential campaign. Michael Hickcox holds a BA with Honors in Economics from Kenyon College and an MBA from Stanford University.
