Michael Hays

Michael Hays is the Art Director at ABCya.com, a division of IXL Learning, where he has been instrumental in managing the design team and directing various projects. His role encompasses creating user interface designs, illustrations, animations, and graphics specifically for educational apps and games aimed at children. Since joining ABCya, he has redesigned the company's website and the ABCya Games app, as well as contributed to the design of over 100 games.1

Hays holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design, where he graduated with honors in 2011. His background includes extensive experience in game design, character design, and interactive exhibits. Before becoming Art Director, he held several positions at ABCya, including Art Team Lead and Senior Graphic Designer.1

In addition to his professional work, Hays is passionate about bringing enjoyment to children through his designs and often engages in activities like gaming, baking, and playing the drums in his spare time.1
