Michael Hacker

Michael Hacker is a partner at Gunderson Dettmer, specializing in high-growth technology companies and venture capital funds. His expertise lies in advising entrepreneurs on business formation, financing, intellectual property, and complex transactions like M&A. With experience in various M&A structures, he guides clients through sell-side transactions to major companies like Amazon and Google. Michael also assists in corporate governance, equity plans, and employment issues. Beyond his company practice, he advises investors on investment transactions, partnership formation, and fund operations across the globe, including in countries like Canada, Israel, and the UK. Through pro-bono work, he mentors at Harvard and Year Up, supporting young adults in their professional and educational endeavors. Michael graduated from Middlebury College and Boston University School of Law, holds bar admissions in Massachusetts and New York, and has previously held roles at Gunderson Dettmer.
