    Michael Greenwood

post doc at The University of British Columbia

Michael Greenwood is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of British Columbia (UBC). He received his Ph.D. in physics from McMaster University in 2018. Since then, he has been working at UBC, focusing on research into the fields of quantum materials and quantum computing. Greenwood's research is particularly interested in exploring the properties of materials at low temperatures, and he has experience using techniques such as X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, and nuclear magnetic resonance. His work in quantum computing is geared toward developing new materials that could allow for improved computation systems while also trying to address some of the challenges in the field, such as decoherence and scalability. In addition, Greenwood has been involved in promoting and supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives in higher education.
