Michael Ford

Michael Ford, previously the Corporate Vice President (CVP) of Global Workplace Services at Microsoft, is a seasoned executive with a diverse and extensive career in real estate, finance, and corporate management.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• At Microsoft, Ford was responsible for managing Microsoft’s global real estate, security, workplace services, and retail stores, which encompassed over 38 million square feet across 112 countries. His duties included strategic planning, acquisitions, dispositions, transaction management, design and construction, and facility operations. He also focused on delivering an environment that enabled Microsoft employees to be productive and inspired.134

Career Background:

• Ford joined Microsoft in 2005 as the Director of Shared Services and progressed through various roles, including Senior Director of Internal Audit, Senior Financial Controller for the Cloud & Enterprise Division, and eventually CVP of Global Workplace Services.13
• Before Microsoft, he had 13 years of business and financial management experience, including roles at Spherion, ANC Rental Corporation (Vanguard Car Rental), and Aramark Uniform Services. He also served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps for 10 years.13

Education and Certifications:

• Ford holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University and an MBA with a concentration in Accounting and International Business from Florida Metropolitan University.1

Current Role:

• As of September 2023, Michael Ford has transitioned to the role of Senior Vice President of Global Real Estate and Security at AT&T, where he oversees the entire real estate life cycle and ensures the security, investigation, and protection of AT&T's assets and operations.12

• Ford is also a board member of the Seattle Sports Commission and has been a director on the board of DIRTT Environmental Solutions.1
