Postdoctoral Researcher - Biomarker Research at Medicines Discovery Catapult
Michael Eyres is a dedicated Biomarker Postdoctoral Researcher specializing in the fields of Oncology, Neurodegeneration, and Fibrosis, with a particular emphasis on spatial genomics. He holds a Ph.D. in Oncology and Cancer Biology from the University of Oxford, an MSc in Oncology and Cancer Biology from Utrecht University, and a BSc in Genetics from Cardiff University.
Currently, Michael serves as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Biomarker Research at Medicines Discovery Catapult. Prior to this role, he contributed as a COVID-19 Testing Volunteer within the UK Lighthouse Lab Network and gained experience in Biomarker Research during his Industrial Placement at Medicines Discovery Catapult. Additionally, he has enriched his professional background by working as a Startup Scout at Panacea Innovation, a PHD Researcher at Oxford University Department of Oncology, an Intern Research Analyst at Zentree Investments, and as a Researcher at various institutions including the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and the Hubrecht Institute specializing in Developmental Biology and Stem Cell Research.
