He earned a Master’s Degree in Creative Industries and Business from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), where he also completed a Graduate Diploma in Teaching. His foundation in the arts is marked by his Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Performing Arts from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Additionally, he is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, highlighting his commitment to excellence in teaching and learning within higher education.
Throughout his career, Michael has held several academic positions, underscoring his role as an educator and thought leader. As a former Senior Research Fellow at QUT’s Creative Industries Faculty from 2002 to 2005, he contributed to advancing knowledge transfer and research commercialization initiatives.
