Michael Dettbarn

Michael Dettbarn is a dedicated UI/UX Designer, Frontend Developer, and Communication Expert based in Berlin and Hamburg. With a strong background in freelance work, he went on to establish his own company before transitioning to a key role at Greenpeace, advocating for environmental sustainability and a better world. Michael's academic journey includes studies in Humanities/Humanistic Studies at Universitat Pompeu Fabra de Barcelona, Magister Artium in Neuere Deutsche Literatur at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and additional studies at Freie Universität Berlin. Throughout his career, he held various positions, such as Engagement Specialist and former Web Campaigner at Greenpeace, Co-Founder & Chief Communications Officer at (OFFTIME), Social Media Expert at Oxfam Deutschland, Co-Founder & Lead Designer at Carrotmob Berlin, and roles in UX/UI design and communication at both Freelance and internships at Greenpeace España and Sunbeam GmbH. He also contributed to WWF Deutschland and Greenpeace in different capacities related to campaigns, press communication, frontend development, and youth projects.
