Michael Cady

Michael Cady is a professional with over thirty years of experience in promoting family entertainment events to support search and rescue and first responder organizations. In 2007, he founded LMD Disaster Survival Kits LLC, an online store he runs in his spare time. He subsequently transitioned to roles in the automotive industry from 2008 to 2019, gaining expertise as a sales consultant, Internet Manager, and BDC Manager. During this time, he honed his presentation skills in group settings.

In 2019, Michael founded a nonprofit focused on advocating for children's programs and currently serves as the president of the board. His career then led him to the Small Business Administration's Office of Disaster Assistance, where he provides essential customer service to disaster survivors by assisting them in navigating the loans and grants process.

Michael pursued higher education to augment his knowledge, earning an Associate's degree in Homeland Security Emergency Management in 2019 and a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in the same field in 2021 from Pierce College. He also obtained certificates in Project Management and Tribal Emergency Management. Building on his academic foundation, he participated in an internship with the Del Norte California Office of Emergency Services starting in April 2021, contributing to the development of TsunamiEx21, a tsunami exercise scheduled for October 2021.

Engaging actively in community service, Michael has been a member of a local CERT program since 2015, where he also serves as a trainer. Additionally, he joined the Medical Reserve Corp in 2020 to support COVID-19 testing, contact tracing, and vaccine administration efforts. Currently, he is seeking a role in Emergency Management, leveraging his skills in plan development, idea generation, and effective communication to strengthen communities and enhance preparedness.
