He has demonstrated proficiency in various areas of information security, including cloud computing, third-party due diligence, cyber security, identity and access management, internal and external threats, DDOS attacks, COBIT, and risk-based auditing.

Berardi is a leader in the global information security sourcing pre-contract due diligence process at Bank of America. He has led a team representing the negotiation of information security contractual terms. He is an effective communicator and has been invited as a speaker on audit and controls topics, including data analytics, at national conferences such as ISACA's North America CACS and annual SAP r/3.

He holds certifications including CISA, CGEIT, and CRISC. He studied Master of Science at University of Phoenix and Bachelor of Arts - BA at Villanova University.
