Michael Belkin

Michael Belkin is a Staff Software Engineer at Facebook, where he has been employed since March 2016. Based in Menlo Park, California, he has made significant contributions to various projects within the company. Notably, he co-created Looper, a machine learning AutoML framework that processes approximately 250 billion predictions daily, and also developed Looper Mobile, which supports client ranking for Newsfeed ads. His work includes creating a color extraction system used across Facebook and Instagram ads and previously managing the Bookmarks tab on Facebook's iOS platform.12

Before joining Facebook, Belkin was the Founder and CEO of Distinc.tt, a social app aimed at the LGBT community, which gained recognition for its user-friendly design and community engagement. Under his leadership, the app was incubated at prestigious institutions like Stanford and Harvard, raising significant funding from notable investors.1

Belkin holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He was recognized in Forbes' 30 Under 30 in the Consumer Technology category in January 2016.1
