Michael Bastian

Michael Bastian is an award-winning American Menswear Designer known for his success in the retail, apparel, and fashion industries. With a strong background in business development, he excels in Design, Brand Building, Trend Analysis, Luxury Goods, Photography, Fashion Illustration, and Retail. After serving as Men's Fashion Director for Bergdorf Goodman, he launched his eponymous high-end menswear collection, MICHAEL BASTIAN, in 2005. The brand quickly gained international recognition as a frontrunner in the revival of American menswear. In 2011, he was honored with the prestigious CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year award. In 2016, Bastian expanded his portfolio by introducing a more accessible line, Michael Bastian Gray Label. Throughout his career, he has engaged in numerous successful collaborations with renowned brands and designers, including GANT, UNIQLO, Stubbs & Wootton, HP, Havaianas, and more. His creative contributions led to his appointment as Interim Creative Director for Ted Baker London in early 2020. Bastian is a respected member of the CFDA and currently resides in New York City.
