Michael Aylward

Michael Aylward, a Buffalo native, is a former climate policy advisor who is currently contributing to Cloudflare's efforts in building an inclusive Internet platform.

With a background in economics and mathematics, Michael holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Wesleyan University.

Throughout his career, Michael has held various roles at prominent organizations including Cloudflare, Inc., Hillary for America, Valence Strategic, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Obama for America, U.S. House Energy & Commerce Committee, The White House, and the American Clean Skies Foundation.

His roles have ranged from Head of ISP Partnerships to Business Development at Cloudflare, from a Special Assistant to the CA Political Director at Hillary for America to a Field Organizer at Obama for America.

Michael has also contributed to renewable energy strategy, regional grassroots organizing efforts, and policy advisory roles in organizations such as Pacific Gas and Electric Company and the White House.

His diverse experience includes teaching mathematics, instructing on game theory, and working on energy and climate initiatives.
