M.Giovanni Valderas

Giovanni Valderas is an artist and the Exhibition Manager at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center. He is originally from Dallas and holds a Master of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting from the University of North Texas.12 Valderas has a background in managing programming and exhibitions at various institutions, including Kirk Hopper Fine Art and Mountain View College.3

In addition to his work in the arts, Valderas has been involved in political organizing. He ran for city council in Dallas, focusing on issues such as gentrification and displacement within the Latinx community. His campaign emphasized engaging working-class voters through authentic communication and visual language that resonated with the community.1
