Merrill Matthews, a Canadian born to Pakistani parents in Montreal, has a deep passion for art manifested in his love for movies, music, theatre, books, and photography.
With a film studies degree from Concordia University, Merrill ventured into film production, theatre production, and teaching neurodiverse students at Summit School in Montreal.
Merrill then spent 18 years at the National Film Board of Canada, working in various roles such as managing workshop programming for students, supervising teams, facilitating events and partnerships, and coordinating educational projects.
Currently, Merrill is actively engaged in producing video content for I Can Dream Theatre and creating short documentary films, showcasing a commitment to storytelling and community engagement.
His key skills encompass a range of tools and expertise including MS Office, Adobe Premiere Pro, video production, leadership, web content writing, and project coordination.
Throughout his career, Merrill has held positions at notable organizations like the Canadian Association of Science Centres, I Can Dream Theatre, and the National Film Board of Canada, demonstrating his diverse experience and adaptability in different professional settings.
