Mercedes Revuelto Ruiz

Mercedes Revuelto Ruiz is an Artificial Intelligence Quant at Banco Santander, where she has been employed since September 2019. In her role, she focuses on developing machine and deep learning algorithms to provide solutions for the Front Office areas within Santander Global Markets. Her expertise includes natural language processing using tools such as NLTK, Spacy, and Transformers (including BERT and GPT), as well as classical and neural network-based recommendation systems, generative algorithms, and various machine learning techniques.1

She began her career at Banco Santander as an intern in the Equity Derivatives & ETFs trading desk from November 2018 to June 2019. Mercedes holds a degree in Mathematical Engineering from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Master's in Big Data and Data Analytics from Universidad Europea Miguel de Cervantes, where she worked on projects involving heuristic techniques and convolutional neural networks for skin cancer classification.1

In addition to her academic background, she has completed certifications such as "AI for Medical Diagnosis" from Stanford University and is proficient in English, Spanish, and has elementary knowledge of German.1
