Shehin Rahemtulla is the Sustainable Energy Manager at Coast Funds.13 In this role, Rahemtulla works with First Nations communities in the Great Bear Rainforest and Haida Gwaii to support their transition from diesel-generated electricity to renewable energy sources.12 Rahemtulla has shared findings on First Nations' priorities, energy needs, and options for transitioning to renewable energy at conferences.1 They are also involved in supporting applications from eligible First Nations for the Community Energy for Diesel Reduction (CEDR) program, a $29-million investment initiative aimed at helping remote communities switch to renewable energy.2
