Summary

Melvin Tan is a pioneering iOS Engineer with over 15 years of experience developing enterprise solutions and mobile apps for various companies and government agencies including StarHub, PSA, ESRI, and GovTech. As Singapore's iOS community and Meetup organizer, he leads the charge in advancing the tech industry through his annual iOS conference, iOS Conf SG. Additionally, as a former mobile architect at Singapore Management University, he played a significant role in the redesign and development of educational platforms, enterprise solutions, and mobile architectures. 
Melvin's dedication to education earned him accreditation as an Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE) and the honor of having his book, 'Designing Innovative Solutions: Student-Created iOS Apps,' selected for the global 'One Best Thing' Collection. His technical expertise in security has led to the detection of several critical authentication flaws, including one in K2 Workflow. As GovTech's Mobile Engineering Lead and iOS Engineer, Melvin works on the nation's strategic projects, including the development of Singpass and National Digital Identity apps to promote the smart nation initiative. He's also created and designed several award-winning iOS apps, including Parks "Live," WhereTo.sg, Pocket OneMap, and Education@Zoo, demonstrating his keen eye for aesthetics.
