Melody Guan

Melody Guan is a Senior Machine Learning Software Engineer at Waymo, where she applies her extensive expertise in computer science and machine learning. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University, complemented by an MA in Statistics and a BA in Chemistry and Physics, both earned summa cum laude from Harvard University. Additionally, she has completed the Core: Credential of Readiness at HBX - Harvard Business School and was recognized as the top student at the University of Toronto Schools during high school.

Throughout her career, Melody has gained valuable experience in various prestigious organizations. Before joining Waymo, she worked at Google and The Huffington Post, among others. Her roles have included being a Teaching Fellow at Harvard's Statistics Department, a Proprietary Trading Intern at D.E. Shaw Group, and a Research Fellow at the Botswana-Harvard AIDS Partnership. Her research interests encompass deep learning, probability, and trading strategies, showcasing her multidisciplinary background that spans computer science, statistics, and molecular biology.
