Food System 6 (FS6) is a nonprofit based in the San Francisco Bay Area whose mission is to support impact-driven entrepreneurs as they transform how we grow, produce, and distribute food. The organization runs a comprehensive accelerator program that mentors entrepreneurs by coaching them through a wide range of business and organizational needs. FS6 also works to educate stakeholders on the unique capital needs as related to redefining the food system.

FS6 supports early-stage for-profit and non-profit entrepreneurs who are tackling one or more food system challenges across the following impact areas: healthy people, vibrant farms, sustainable ecosystems, justice & fairness.

Le'ola Wellness is a full-scale nutrition education program centered around bringing health into the workplace. In this role, I supported the CEO in the development of educational curricula, as well as the creation and implementation of a broader communications strategy - including scheduling and writing regular articles and nutrition tips for client newsletters and social media channels.

Bitterroot is a Northwest BBQ restaurant in the heart of Ballard Ave, serving the American BBQ classics including ribs, brisket, whole-smoked chicken, pulled pork with seasonal sides such as braised greens, glazed carrots, baked beans, and apple pretzel stuffing. The meat is dry-rubbed with four house-made sauces on the table. Comfortable for all, with a particular focus on providing quality food and service at an affordable price, Bitterroot is a neighborhood BBQ spot with always-changing seasonal features.

Inside New York is a New York City guidebook written and published annually by students of several universities, including Columbia University, New York University, The New School and other New York City universities. Founded in 1978 as the Columbia Guide to New York and given exclusively to incoming freshmen, it currently is distributed to several colleges, graduate programs, and businesses throughout New York City, in addition to being sold at independent bookstores and major retailers. Inside New York will be launching the first electronic edition of the guide book in September 2013.
