Melissa Rouse is a passionate food systems writer and editor with a dedication to supporting small and mid-sized organizations. Born and raised in a beekeeping family on the Big Island of Hawaii, Melissa has been immersed in the food and agriculture world since childhood. With her editorial skills, she works towards creating a better future for food systems. She graduated with a Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Critical Social Thought from Mount Holyoke College. Melissa has worked with various organizations such as Paula LeDuc Fine Catering, Eat REAL®, Le'ola Wellness, Bitterroot BBQ, Coffeetown Press, and Little Pim. Currently, she is the Communications Director at Food System 6 Accelerator.
