Melissa Ocasio is a non-profit financial manager with over nine years of experience in managing homeless housing programs with federal, state, and local government grants. She completed her studies in Vocal Performance at Florida International University, Accounting, Business Administration, and Arts Management at Concordia College-New York and Music Business at Miami Dade College. Her education started at Coral Gables Sr High, where she earned an International Baccalaureate degree.

With her expertise in non-profit finances, grants, and contract management, Melissa has been an excellent addition to many organizations. Recently she is working with Covid SURGE Outreach Team Lead at Miami-Dade County. Earlier, she worked as Contracts Officer at Miami-Dade County, Assistant CFO and Comptroller at LOTUS HOUSE WOMEN'S SHELTER, and Grants Manager at LOTUS HOUSE WOMEN'S SHELTER. She also served as a BNI Ambassador and Co-Chair of Charitable Coordinator Committee at BNI Miami Dade, Member/Chapter VP/Educational Coordinator at BNI Action, and Program Manager at Lutheran Services Florida.

Melissa has also been featured as a "Hero" in Key Biscayne Magazine for her exceptional work. She has volunteered at Carnival Center for the Performing Arts, worked as AR & Cash Analyst at Parragon Inc, Accounting Intern at RDF Media, and Office Assistant at Coral Gables Adult Center.
