Her educational background includes notable studies in renewable energies and architecture at Universidad Europea de Canarias and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

Melisa has a global perspective, having studied urban development and landscape architecture at Tsinghua University in China and the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia.

In her professional journey, she has held positions as an Architect at TOLEDO Y HERAS ARQUITECTOS SL and Manager at Studio Mumbai, honing her expertise in the field.

Melisa's experience expands into the realm of public policy and regulatory advisory in energy, sustainability, industry, and technology sectors, where she has served as a Strategy and Public Policy Advisor at FTI Consulting.

She is a former member of the Spanish National Parliament, having represented the Constituency S/C de Tenerife in multiple terms and holding roles in various parliamentary committees.

Melisa's leadership skills have been recognized through her vice presidency at ALDE Group Council of Europe and as the Head of Institutional Relations of the Canary Islands Board at Ciudadanos.
