Melinda Sage is a remarkable individual who embodies the bravery of 'The Unsinkable' Molly Brown and the sharpshooting skills of Annie Oakley. She is a survivor of the September 11th, 2001 World Trade Center attacks, where she selflessly assisted numerous US citizens to safety amidst the chaos and destruction.
During the collapse of the North Tower, Melinda led nine US citizens to safety at a subway, shortly before the station was obliterated. She courageously ushered in and guided many individuals from the street into the train, ultimately aiding hundreds of American civilians throughout the day.
Melinda Sage is affectionately known as the '9/11 Angel' for her compassionate actions of tapping on shoulders to awaken and guide shocked individuals to safety across Manhattan during the tragic events of September 11th, 2001.
As a member of the World Trade Center Health Program, Melinda is protected by the Zadroga Act, established by the US Government to provide healthcare assistance to 9/11 survivors and responders. She deals with a severe hearing disability, specifically tinnitus, a condition she manages with resilience and determination.
